This typeface was initially created for the New Contemporaries exhibition branding brief and was constructed using the rule of filling 45 squares out of a 70 square grid, representative of the 45 artists artists on display and 70 years of running the exhibition. Out of the context of the exhibition, Phil Sans is a dynamic typeface that is able to be stretched and manipulated whilst maintaining legibility.
