Five By Five Typeface :

This typeface was created specifically for a zine I produced that acted as a manifesto for myself as a designer. The typeface itself is directly inspired by the five by five format in which I displayed information, from which I created a pentagonal grid that I used to construct the letterforms. Each individual letterform was created using this grid where I filled 25 of the pentagonal spaced per letter. The outcome of this were a set of unique jagged letterforms that are both chaotic in style yet fit easily together due to their squared silhouettes.
